The Paseo Marítimo de Puerto Real (Cadiz) was born as a result of a special plan of its historical center, which contributes the coherence and the urban order in its urban objective to recover the maritime facade of the city and with the important landscape of its Bay.

It is designed as an authentic “platform” where the main public facilities of the city (sports with the Pavilion, cultural with the Auditorium and administrative with the new Municipal Headquarters) will be located to strengthen and qualify this maritime front and transform its old condition of “Back” urban in “main facade” of the city. A long pedestrian promenade that integrates the new Plaza del Mar (which groups and structures the public facilities) and the old jetty with its adjoining beaches at the low tides of the Bay, make up this promenade with different sections and features attending to The conditions and scales of the different urban areas that it uses.
