Commission: Malaga City Council and the OMAU (Urban Environment Observatory).

Malaga City Council together with the OMAU organised this competition which sought to answer the following question with an innovative architectural and urbanistic proposal.

How to achieve an urban and architectural design that promotes more sustainable urban living and a highly qualified mix of uses of this residential block that includes productive activities?

The challenge here is to create an innovative and vibrant district full of activity and an example of sustainable residential fabric. How to achieve a multifunctional city where the citizen has clear priority over cars is a necessary challenge today.

The approach to this challenge has been a proposal with a complex and varied programme of uses in which residential is clearly predominant, accompanied by facilities, services and, last but not least, productive economic uses.
