Commission: Public competition organized by the University of Málaga

A proposal was proposed in the competition that responded mainly to two important criteria: functionality and economy. The proposal was designed that fulfills these demands, will also provide its architectural identification based mainly on bioclimatic treatments and energy savings.

As it was an exempt building, and therefore with four facades with very different climatic conditions, it was necessary to regulate these conditions even more as an administrative building dedicated to research in information technology. A natural treatment of the climatology of the building: a detailed study of each façade in terms of its opening of holes and corresponding surfaces suitable for each orientation, the creation of landscaped interior galleries (with “parasols” superior to “Tramex” base Would act as sunscreens in the galleries) in order to provoke the cross ventilation of all their dependencies and gardens with native plantations that do not require irrigation for their maintenance. Likewise, we opted for a composite system designed and modulated to all the building elements of the building: technical floors, false ceilings, prefabricated panels, registrable facilities …, so that the full flexibility required by a building of these characteristics For the continuous internal modifications that will demand over time.
